The future meets craftsmanship at the Sonnenkraft Campus

Vocational school in Spittal visits the Sonnenkraft Campus

At the Sonnenkraft Campus in St. Veit, we recently welcomed 21 students and 3 teachers from the 3rd class of the double apprenticeship in roofing and tinsmithing at the Spittal an der Drau vocational school. The visit was all about future technologies in the roofing and energy sector - practical, compact and inspiring.

After a brief introduction by Jürgen Hölbling, Managing Director of Vivatro GmbH, the participants were given exciting insights into the concept and objectives of the Sonnenkraft Campus: "As the largest experience and competence center for solar energy in the Alpe-Adria region, we show here how modern energy, building and craft solutions interact intelligently.

Whether photovoltaics, electricity storage or the intelligent linking of energy and building technology - the campus imparts knowledge at the interface between theory and application. The aim is to provide tomorrow's specialists with practical orientation and to arouse enthusiasm for sustainable technologies.

One of the highlights of the visit was the technical lecture in the Prefa showroom, where Ralf Stadlober and Johann Kummer presented the wide range of possible applications for aluminum in the roof and façade sector. They not only imparted technical know-how, but also emphasized how important durable, sustainable materials are for the construction practice of the future.

We would like to thank the Spittal vocational school for their interest and visit. We are delighted to be able to inspire young people for future-oriented trades and renewable energy solutions. After all, the energy transition doesn't just need technology - above all, it needs people to implement it.
